Support shaped around the person and their home routine.
Personal care is one of the most sensitive parts of Care at Home. It must be delivered with patience, discretion and respect for the person’s privacy. TDCARE plans this support around the person’s normal routine, preferred way of being supported, communication needs and level of independence.
Support can include help with getting up or settling for the evening, washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, oral care, continence routines and maintaining daily comfort. Care workers encourage the person to do what they can for themselves while stepping in where tasks have become difficult or unsafe.
We recognise that receiving personal care at home can feel daunting at first. Our approach is calm, reassuring and consent-led. Families can expect support to be delivered in a way that protects dignity and promotes confidence in familiar surroundings.

How we plan safely
Before support begins, TDCARE will discuss needs, preferences, risks, visit routines, communication, family involvement and the desired outcomes. Support should always be appropriate, proportionate and reviewed when needs change.
